Lovebird's Food And Feeding Guide A List of Their Favorite Foods

Love Birds Food
Lovebirds do not travel long, so their habitat must provide them with sufficient and balanced supply of food throughout the year. Lovebirds eat vegetables, fruits, seeds, grasses and even flowers and leaf buds depending upon seasonal availability. Some Lovebird species like black-collared lovebird mainly feed on figs found on treetops. The bill and foot combination allows lovebirds to hold food in its foot and using its bill breaks up the morsel.Lovebird also use its feet to transfer food to its bill.Using their strong tongue they remove seeds from husks.
