Alexandrine Parakeet Bird Information

The Alexandrine parakeet or Alexandrine  parrot comes from the Indian sub-continent through to Indochina. It's name was given to it after the armies of Alexandra the Great arrived back home from their conquest of India with many of these birds as pets. The bird nests In the spring, lays 3-4 eggs that hatch in 21 days and the young leave the nest in about 7 weeks.
