Rose-ringed parakeet or ring neck parrots are green colored medium sized birds.Found in southern Asia, from eastern Pakistan
and India east to Burma (Myanmar), and in a band across Africa, from Senegal to Somalia; introduced to parts of Europe, Middle East, China and the U.S. These are very popular as pet birds.
Behavior: They are the non migrating species of the birds that have adapted to the disturbed living environment. Mostly they are found in groups, it is unusual to see them alone or in pair except the breeding season. The rose-ringed parakeet lives nearer to the human habitation.
