Gang Gang Cockatoo Bird

Gang Gang Cockatoo
Although not endangered, they are under pressure and have  disappeared from northern Tasmania and King Island due to land clearing. These beautiful birds will sit for hours during the warmer part of the day, cuddling up to each other and preening each other. They are a difficult bird in controlled situations as they tend to over preen, and in a lot of cases, feather pluck. Gang Gang Cockatoo are closely related to the Galah and have been known to cross breed.
Gang Gang Cockatoo Feed: They feed on seeds, fruit, nuts and insects.
