Hooded Parrot Bird Information

The Hooded Parrot is a species of parrot native to the Northern Territory in Australia.Closely related to the golden shouldered parrot and also in trouble in it's habitat due to pressure from cattle and a burning program that is detrimental to the native grasses that it feeds on. However a large number of birds are bred each year in aviaries and the bird has asecure future. Hooded Parrot Nests in April to June , 3 to 5 eggs, 20 days to hatch and about 5 weeks to leave the nest.
