Mulga Parrot
Also known as the many-colored parrot, the male especially is Iridescent when In full mature feather. The female Is quite dull in comparison. This Is a bird of the outback, often seen around homesteads In the Murchison area. It Is not endangered, but generally only seen in small family groups.
Occurrence: Mulga parrots are distributed in dryer interior of the Australian continent.
Feeding:
Feeds on small seeds and grasses.
Breeding:
Mulga Parrots breeds from autumn to early summer, lays around 5 eggs, 19 days to hatch and the young leave the nest in 4 weeks.
