The Mourning Dove is a member of the dove family. Mourning dove is a slender, medium-sized dove with a relatively small head and a distinctive long, pointed tail.
Breeds in a wide variety of habitats. Open woodland, cultivated areas with trees or shrubs, suburban gardens, semi-arid and arid areas within reach of water. Nest usually in a tree or shrub between 10-25 ft.Mourning Doves raise three or more broods in a single breeding season.
